AACSB’s 2020 Business Accreditation Standards were approved in Summer 2020. Our first webinar is focused on providing an overview of the changes (both in terms of the standards and the related processes). Key topics include:

Frank Bostyn is Dean of the college of Business & Economics at the UAE University and an elected Member of the Board of Director of AACSB. He has extensive experience in academic leadership at different levels and in different national and regulatory environments. Frank is used to complex organisational settings, general management responsibility, and strategic leadership.
He has a proven track record of leading change and strategic reorientations in academic institutions in three countries with three different working languages, and multicultural environments. Frank has broad experience and involvement in international accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA) resulting in an extensive international network.

Technical Expert

Joanne Powell is a senior advisor with Quality Education Development (QED), a long-established advisory company that supports business schools with continuous improvement, international accreditation and leadership development. Joanne has extensive experience in education, training and assessment. Prior to joining QED, she worked as an educator, a chartered accountant and as Head of Assessment for Chartered Accountants Ireland. Her leadership philosophy focuses on deepening awareness of each individual’s core leadership characteristics and values to raise overall effectiveness and impact. She is an expert in international Business School accreditation (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS and EFMD Accredited) – working with teams in international business schools across Europe, Asia and the Americas to support them in achieving their accreditation objectives.

Moderator

Benjamin Stévenin is a data management expert with more than 10 years of experience in higher education. He is the CEO of RimaOne, a software solutions provider for the finance and higher education sector. Benjamin is the co-creator of ACADEM, a data management solution to assist business schools with the management of their faculties, research and accreditation processes; ACADEM has so far been adopted by more than 150 institutions globally, many of them holding multiple international accreditations. He speaks regularly at international conferences and has co-developed training programs related to smart data and quality management with one of the leading international accreditation bodies. Benjamin is the co-creator of ACADEM, Benjamin has more than 10 years of experience in higher education and the work with his clients regularly includes strategic issues related to quality management.
