Add an intellectual contribution to your CV

As a faculty member, the school/institution may give you permission to add the research work to which you have contributed to your profile.
These intellectual contributions can be included on your CV to enhance it.

From the menu Research > select Intellectual contributions : to consult/modify existing contributions, or add some new ones.

To add a new contribution: select the blue +Add button at the bottom of the screen.
A window appears, with a number of empty fields to be filled in on several tabs.

Associate a contribution support

For some types of intellectual contribution (articles, book chapters, book direction, etc.), a Media tab appears in the contribution editing window: the name of a publication support must be associated with the contribution in order to save it.

From the Media tab, click on the magnifying glass icon to the right of the search bar, and enter one or more keywords to search for the name of the support in which the contribution is (or will be) published.

Search for the name with inverted commas (e.g. ‘Journal of economics’) to find the exact name of the support in the database.

ℹ️By default, the search is only carried out among the media that correspond to the type of contribution added (e.g. for an Article type contribution, the search is carried out among newspapers only).
Click on the ‘Extend search’ box under the search bar to look for the name of the support among all the media registered in ACADEM.

Select the name of the support from the list of results to associate it with the contribution

If the name of the support does not appear in the list of results: click on the blue button to the right of the search box to add the support you want to the list of media saved in ACADEM.
⚠️ The blue button becomes available when at least 3 characters are entered in the search bar.

Add an author

ℹ️Your name is automatically entered as the author’s name, as the contribution is added from your profile.

One or more co-authors or editors can be added for the same contribution, by clicking on the blue + Add button.

A window opens to add the co-author or editor > click on the magnifying glass icon to the right of the search bar to search for the name of the author/editor, among the existing contacts on ACADEM > select the contact to associate from the list of results displayed.

If the contact does not appear in the list of results: click on the blue button, to the right of the search box, to add the contact to the list of contacts saved in ACADEM.

⚠️ The blue button becomes available when at least 3 characters are entered in the search bar.

If the contribution has several co-authors, one of them must be identified as the main author.
Tick the name of the main author in the list of authors: his or her name will appear at the beginning of the bibliographic note.

In this example BERGER is the main author of the contribution.

Other

The Other tab is used to provide more details about the contribution.

  • A summary of the contribution is mandatory for research work, and can be written in the two languages set for ACADEM.
  • A URL can be added so that the contribution can be consulted online.
  • A DOI (Digital Object Identifier) can be entered if the publication is added from an external source. Click on the Import from external source button at the bottom of the editing window.

You can import via the Crossref agency: enter the DOI identifier and click on the Download button. Then import the DOI to add the publication.

The other tabs: Research returns, Citations, History, Links and Attachments, allow you to add additional information about the Contribution.

Once you have completed the fields, click on the Submit or Save button at the bottom of the editing window.

  • When the contribution is saved: it is saved as a draft, and can therefore be modified/completed if necessary, before being submitted for validation.
  • When the contribution is submitted: a validation group, made up of one or more members of the administration team, is informed that the contribution has been added. A member of the group must then validate the contribution so that it can appear in your CV.
⚠️ Once submitted for validation, the contribution can no longer be modified.
